ABC Kids Christmas Countdown Calendar craft

You will need:

• 24 cardboard rolls
• Scissors
• Glue
• Stapler
• 2 pieces of A3 cardboard
• Markers
• A star (we made ours out of felt and a skewer)
• 24 ‘surprises’ (we wrote out some ABC Kids trivia)
• A grown-ups help.

Instructions:

1. 1.Create a tree shape with the cardboard rolls
2. 2.Connect them all together
   • we used a stapler here
3. 3.Trace both sides of the tree shape on a piece of cardboard and cut them out
4. 4.Glue one of the tree shaped sides to the cardboard roll ‘tree’
5. 5.Add a fun surprise to each cardboard roll - we chose ABC Kids trivia… and confetti!
6. 6.Once all holes are filled glue the other tree shape on
7. 7.Cut out 24 pictures or numbers to add to each cardboard roll opening
   • we chose ABC Kids icons.
8. 8.Add a star
9. 9.The countdown calendar is ready!

Bonus tip!

You might like to paint your cardboard rolls or cover in laminate to add some extra colour.
