There's no denying it, Charli xcx's 'Von Dutch' is a certified hype-up banger. That's exactly why Yours Truly tackled it for their return to the Like A Version studio.
"When that song would come on when we were getting ready to go onstage, it would always like hype us up so much," vocalist Mikaila Delgado said.
"I think that when you listen to it, you can kinda hear what it would sound like if it was a pop-punk song. So that felt natural to me, that song, an alternative rock song."
Keeping the iconic synth, the Sydney band wrapped their gritty, brat-punk sound around the track, building a perfect blend of club classic and pit starter.
"Also adding sung elements to the song as well," Mikaila said.
"It's an electronic dance song so getting to change the melodies around a little bit so that I could sing on it and make it a bit more Yours Truly."
It's a match made in club heaven - a track that makes you want to do your hair and makeup and then punch a hole through the floor and chuck a TV off the balcony.
That's brat.
