Police have charged a 47-year-old man with murder after a body was found in a caravan at a commercial storage facility at Caboolture, north of Brisbane.

Police were called to the Morayfield Road site at about midday on Sunday, after the 60-year-old man's body was found by his partner.

Police allege the victim was assaulted before being moved into the caravan earlier that day.

“The deceased was located by his partner unfortunately and our condolences go out to all of the family of all of the deceased," Detective Inspector David Harbison said.

He said a Caboolture man was extradited from New South Wales after he was found at a motel in Ballina this morning.

He has been charged with one count of murder under a domestic violence offence.

Detective Inspector Harbison said police were not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident, and that there were no weapons involved.

He said the pair had known each other for "years and years".

"We are looking into different motives, one that there may have been an incident over some property that was stored at that location," he said.

"It was over nothing major, we know that it was over something trivial."

He's expected to appear in court tomorrow.
